      Hi there!

I’m using Google Sheets and the latest version of Templater Pro for some batch localization. I haven’t had issues in the past but I’m now getting only about half of my composition’s text layers to swap out with the Google Sheet data.

In the window it says “Reference Error: texts undefined”.

Although from what I can tell, the layers that ARE working vs. NOT working are set up identically. (e.g names matching the columns, have templater effect applied, have position/opacity keyframes, are parented to objects, etc.)

Any thoughts on what could be going wrong?

      Thanks in advance.

@piercemotion I’m not positive what texts is referring to, but could you see if setting a “Footage” path and a “Destination” path in the Templater panel makes any difference?

@jon Turns out it was an incompatible expression!
You can actually see where the German stops. That field that says $18 / hour" had an expression driving a typing animation with the typing cursor " | " being added into the source text.

            Thanks for the reply!

@piercemotion a bit late, but glad you got it sorted!

I’m running into the same error message, but my text isn’t being animated with expressions. The data does contain a number of special characters, but all of the layer names have been cleaned of special characters. I’ve filed a support ticket, but any help from the community would also be appreciated.

In my case the issue was caused by keyframes on the Source Text of a text layer. Removing the keyframes resolved the issue. Thanks to the support team!
