Hi. I’m having an issue with my text layout resetting when I advance to the next row in my dataset. For example, I’m pulling text from row 22 and I go through my comp to layout the text, exactly how I want it (which is multi-lined, like 2-3 sentences, varies per column). Once I advance to the next row, all of the text defaults to one long line of text requiring me to redo the layout thus reducing the automation capabilities of Templater. Is there a way to fix this so the text maintains the layout or auto-layout? Recently, I tried an expression that auto-scales a text layer, but it hasn’t helped and I was having the same issue before trying the expression.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am working on a big project with a large dataset that varies in length.

Please let me know what other information you need to help me solve this problem.

      Thanks!

@jrbooth1 For the text layer in the AE project. Did you create as text box or just a single line? In your data source, if you have a soft return character in the data, AE should respect those soft returns even if it’s a single line text layer. Try clicking+dragging to create a text box.

        Hope this helps!

@ariestav Thanks for the reply. I will give both of those suggestions a try and report back.
